How to Know Apple Warranty Check, Apple Phone screen repairs will no longer void your warranty: Having your iPhone screen replaced by somebody other than Apple will no longer void the device’s warranty, based on internal memos noticed by MacRumors – but there are a few caveats.
That means if you have your cracked screen swapped out by your local repair shop,
Apple is still going to fix any other issues that crop up down the line. Formerly, once you replaced your display using someone other than Apple, you’re on your own.
As we mentioned though there are conditions: some future repairs have to be non-display related, so if you need Apple to correct a botched screen repair job done by someone else, then you are going to have to pay the full cost. And of course, your device must still be under warranty, whether that is AppleCare or Apple’s standard one-year deal.
While Apple has not yet made any official announcement yet, it is good news for iPhone consumers.
who’ve made use of their local repair shop to replace a phone cracked display or deal with some other issue – Apple will look after the other components for you.
Any other third-party repairs are still likely to void your warrantee though,
so expect to get charged full price to get you
iPhone fixed by Apple if another firm has previously completed any work on the device or substituted some of the elements.
MacRumors says the memo applies to repairs in the US and Canada, with different regions probably included too, but we would double-check to your local Apple Store before you choose your broken iPhone in to be sure.
