Yamaha FZS FI 2018: India Yamaha Motors unveiled the updated 2018 Yamaha FZS FI motorcycle after 10 years of its FZ series. Now, it has received the new paint scheme. It contains the body graphics, and there is also a rear disc brake option.
Yamaha launched Yamaha FZS FI 2018 motorcycle
The 2018 Yamaha FZS FI is the dominant seller under 150-160cc segment. It is going to compete with Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Hornet 160R, and Bajaj Pulsar NS 160. Automobile makers are trying to make it available to the users in the new-Armada Blue paint scheme.
In addition to the 282mm front disc brake, it uses the 220mm hydraulic single disc brake on the back side. Manufacturers main intention behind it is that it can be helpful for having more effective control. However, they did not make any cosmetic changes. This motorcycle had the sporty alloy wheel design along with the new mirror design.
The senior vice president regarding the sales and marketing department in the Yamaha Motor India stated this statement. He said that the Yamaha’s FZ series legacy is to follow the inheritance of the motorcycling passion.

2018 Yamaha FZS FI Engine
It contains the 149cc motor which is air-cooled and fuel-injected single cylinder. The motor can deliver the power of about 13 bhp at 8000 rpm. However, the torque is 12.8Nm at 6000rpm. Automobile makers coupled the motor with the 5-speed transmission. Soon, the Yamaha engine is going to enter the market with the Blue Core technology. This technology will help the motorcycle to produce the higher fuel efficiency.
The telescopic forks will perform the suspension duties. On the rear, we can see the monoshock setup. Overall in the bike design, the muscular design is going to be the strong point. It is the first bike to feature the fuel-injection as the standard one.
2018 Yamaha FZS FI is the mild update to the Yamaha FZ-S series. Yamaha Motors is going to release its YZF-R15 in the coming year during the Auto Expo. It seems that the updated R3 is going to enter the market during the 2018 Auto Expo.
