SpaceX schedules the launch of the secret space shuttle: Fall in a panic mode after the forecast of Hurricane Irma. Nothing seems to change the focus of SpaceX. They are all set to launch an unpiloted, reusable military spaceship.
SpaceX plans in the secret space satellite:
It is the American aerospace manufacturer who is dealing with a lot of space travels. Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX is all focussed on colonising Mars. There are several in-Government dealings between it and the US. Now, SpaceX and the U.S. Air Force are launching a military spaceship.
The X-37B military mini-shuttle:
The X-37B military mini-shuttle is the secret shuttle that is to be launched by it. Florida’s Space Coast is all set in preparation for the shuttle to be launched from. X-37B reusable spaceplane is expected to hit the orbit for the first time. The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is taking the shuttle to space.
This space shuttle is a reusable one. It is the primary target of SpaceX. SpaceX has been focussing better on reusability of the rocket, and now, the space shuttle is also expected to hit its runway back from the space after the purpose is done. It should allow the space shuttle to be reused.
The launch of the secret space shuttle:
Despite the warning for Hurricane Irma, SpaceX and the U.S. Air Force are planning the launch of the space shuttle in the rocket by 9:50 a.m. EDT of September 7, 2017. The window for launch will be open from 9:50 a.m. EDT to 2:55 p.m. EDT. The launch will happen with favour to the external factors.
Secret Space Shuttle:
However, expecting unpleasant situations, it is holding a second window opening scheduled for September 8, 2017. If the Falcon 9 rocket doesn’t go up by September 7, the second window will do the job. The time for the Friday launch is not yet determined.
This time, it is Hurricane Irma who is on the threat list. By Wednesday, September 6, 2017, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Kennedy Space Center were given hurricane warning. Only emergency procedures are made in both the facilities and looks like SpaceX is not getting down to the launch.
It has been reported that Irma will be coming with winds of 185 mph. Hurricane Irma is one of the strong storms from the Atlantic. It is hoped that the rocket will be launched before Irma takes its score. However, they are ready with a second window too.
Wayne R. Monteith, Brig Gen, USAF, Commander, 45th Space Wing said, “If for any reason we cannot launch tomorrow we will reevaluate whether or not we can still support another attempt on Friday.”
